How to stitch a festive Assisi card

1. First of all you need to find the centre of your fabric. Fold it in half horizontally and vertically. You will find centre if you follow the arrows on the chart. Start your stitching from that centre outwards.
2. If you work the cross stitch you should do it with 2 strands of cotton or metallic cross stitch thread over 2 threads of the fabric. Make a fractional stitch for every tiny symbol from the chart.
3. The backstitch also should be worked over 2 threads of the fabric and also using cotton or metallic thread but only 1 strand.
4. For French knots choose cotton. Work using 1 strand of it.
5. When your stitching is ready check it over and prepare for making up.
