How to cross stitch
Thread the needle with the correct number of strands. You need to know where to start cross stitching, so find the center of the chart and cross stitching fabric. Bring your needle up through your cross stitching fabric from the bottom left corner of the square and leave the end of the thread at the back of the fabric. Then take the needle down at the top right corner. This will be your half cross. To complete the stitch, bring the needle up again at the bottom right corner and then take it down at the top left corner. This way you will form a cross. Don’t forget to secure the end of thread on the back of your cross stitching fabric to keep your work neat. This way you will form a cross.
Be careful to work all the top halves lying in the same direction because it will make your cross stitching look neat when you finish. When you are making the block of cross stitches, stitch the whole row of half crosses and then complete them all on the return journey.
